Clannad Cottage - Arboe

I booked Clannad Cottage for a surprise birthday trip for my girlfriend and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage looked just as adorable in person as it did online. The enclosed garden was a great bonus, especially since it was dog-friendly. The cottage itself was cosy and had all the modern comforts we needed. The hosts were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our special day memorable. We loved exploring the nearby Ballyronan Marina and the beautiful loughside walks. Just a short drive away, the location was ideal. Couldn't recommend this charming cottage more!

the adorable cottage in Arboe exceeded our expectations. the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and the big bath tub was a nice touch. the comfy accommodation and lovely decor made it feel like a home away from home.

Poor wifi connection.

Clannad Cottage was fantastic value for money, with a comfortable and cozy room. The location was great, with a charming garden and a nearby shop within walking distance. The host, Laura, was responsive and cute, even leaving a lovely welcome pack and personalized Christmas card.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with a wider selection of options.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, cosy cottage. It reminded us of the charming houses at the Ulster American Folk Park. The hosts were kind and were great too help us celebrate a special day. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with cosy beds and fluffy towels. We loved the turf fire, which added to the traditional cottage atmosphere. The welcome pack, including fresh scones and butter, was a lovely touch. The location was great, with Ballyronan Marina and beautiful loughside walks just a short drive away. we highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage was clean and cosy upon arrival, with a lovely welcome treat. the three spacious bedrooms were perfect for our group of six. the cottage had all the necessary amenities, including toiletries. the host was helpful in providing directions and suggestions for nearby attractions. We had easy access to Davagh Forest and Benone Beach, with short travel times to both locations.

There was a strong and unpleasant odor coming from the drains in the main bathroom, making it unusable. although the cottage had advertised Wi-Fi, the internet connection was extremely poor, with frequent disconnections.

It was also great that the cottage had three bedrooms, accommodating up to six people.

Lovely wee cottage with 3 big bedrooms, master ensuite, and a private big back garden. Perfect for my two Staffies. Situated in a nice quiet area with plenty of fields around. the cottage was clean and cosy upon arrival. Provided with essentials like shampoo and shower gel. the hosts went the extra mile to make our stay special. Short drive to Davagh Forest and Benone Beach.

Everything is what I need and want.

Stunning cottage inside and out. Everything was spotless and the decor was beautiful. The host was attentive and made sure we were comfortable. The cottage was very well equipped, with a shower/wet room as a bonus. The swing seat in the garden was a nice touch. Comfortable chairs and beds added to the overall relaxation. The cottage was conveniently located within walking distance of a shop. Just gorgeous!

The WiFi was advertised but had poor internet connection, and the phone signal was hit and miss. The main bedroom was colder than the rest of the cottage.

I absolutely adored the charming cottage decor at Arboe. Every room was filled with lovely little touches that made it feel like a cozy home away from home. The general areas were meticulously clean and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people like myself to navigate and relax. Additionally, the hotel's accessibility features were impressive, ensuring that I could move around comfortably without any issues. It was truly a delightful and senior-friendly environment.

It would have been even better if the children working there had provided more assistance with carrying our luggage.

The bathrooms at Clannad Cottage were a dream! I mean, seriously, two bathrooms with baths? It was like bathing in a luxurious spa every day. As a light sleeper, having two bathrooms was a total game changer. I could take my sweet time getting ready without worrying about anyone else needing the bathroom. A true sanctuary!

Although Clannad Cottage was amazing, I have to admit that the only thing I didn't personally love was the lighting in the bedroom. It was a bit too dim for my liking, but hey, I know everyone has different tastes.
